A small dinosaur skeleton was found in the Libyan desert
A Libyan citizen found almost complete skeletal remains in the Libyan desert, indicating a small dinosaur.
According to the Libyan News Agency, the structure is the size of the palm of a hand, and some of its limbs have been damaged, but its general structure is still intact and it has a strong head and visible jaws. What distinguishes it most is its small size, which does not exceed 15 centimeters.
The citizen who found the skeleton said that he found it visible due to erosion factors, and the size of the head caught his eye, which made him pick up the skeleton, which turned out to be similar to large dinosaurs in terms of shape despite its small size, as it had large teeth and a strong jaw compared to its size.
The citizen explained that he contacted paleontology specialists who told him that what he found was a species belonging to the “Congo Navon Killi” family, which preceded the flying dinosaurs and “Tyrosaurus,” and that some of them were only 10 centimeters long.
According to the agency, photos taken of the skeleton showed that the little dinosaur appeared to have been an adult at the time of its death due to the growth rings in its bones.
The citizen keeps the remains of the dinosaur as a memory of past eras of life in Libyan lands, which made him interested in studying and studying the dinosaur era a lot and reading about it, expressing his willingness to give what he found to any scientific body or university that wants to study it and benefit scientifically.
