1⃣ Fasting among the Sumerians was the prohibition of a certain type of animal and vegetable food for certain reasons.
Some of them are religious and are linked to a specific myth
Some of them are economic due to drought or recession and were not periodic or constant
2⃣ As for the Babylonians, they used to fast for 30 days, which is the number of days that the sun travels from each of its signs. They did not eat or drink from sunrise to sunset. Fasting was directed to the sun (sun), and breakfast was free of meat and included dairy and plants.
3⃣ As for the Assyrians, they were more known for fasting, especially the Assyrian kings. King Esarhaddon, who was known for his religiosity, used to fast constantly until the doctors intervened with his advice so that his health would not deteriorate.
