While its panels were undergoing renovation before being displayed in the Grand Egyptian Museum when it opened.
The Pharaohs believed that solar boats, buried near them at death, would transport them to the afterlife.
According to Middle East Online, the wooden planks of the boat have been transferred to the planned National Museum of Egyptian Civilization where they will be restored.
