Seal of the Sultan of Hoggar and Tassili
Seal of the Sultan of Hoggar and Tassili 12707
The seal of the Sultan of Hoggar and Tasiliy, Musa Av Amestan, one of the richest kings of his time. He was at the head of the resistance against the French in the Sahara.
What is noticeable on the seal is the adherence to the mother tongue, Amazigh, and the original Tifanagh script.
To be honest, the Twarav, to this day, have never lost the Amazigh language. They have preserved the Tifinagh letter.

Musa Ag Amstan is a Tuareg tribal leader and “Amnocal” of the Haggar region in Algeria. He remained head of the Kul Haggar tribe from 1905 AD to 1920 AD. He was born in 1867 AD and died on December 23, 1920 AD. His origins go back to the noble tribe of Gila. On May 7, 1902 AD, he led the Battle of Tet against France, in which he was defeated, which made him accept France’s entry into the Sahara Desert. On January 19, 1904, he signed a peace agreement in Ain Salah with Commander François-Henry Laperrine. Moussa Ag Amstan also met Charles Doufoucault in 1905 AD on his way to Tamanrasset, and a friendship began between them, or what is known as peace. The French government organized a trip for the Tuareg leader to France, where he settled in Bourgogne with Charles Doufoucault’s sister.
