Boulemane..Organizing the regional qualifiers for the national competition of the Tifinagh Olympics
On Thursday, June 27, the Regional Academy of Education and Training of the Fez-Meknes region organized the regional eliminations for the 12th edition of the Tifinagh Olympiad national competition at the Lalla Khadija Community School in Kikou.
This competition, organized in cooperation with the Regional Directorate of National Education, Preschool and Sports in Boulemane, was contested by fifth and sixth grade primary school students who qualified for the regional eliminations and who represent the various regional directorates of the Fez-Meknes region.
The final results of the competition resulted in the student Retaj Al-Tashish from the Km. Walili School affiliated with the Meknes Directorate winning first place, the student Khadija Ala from the Km. Tamhadit School in the Ifrane Directorate coming in second place, while Malak Friat from the Zrarda Institution in the Taza Regional Directorate came in third grade.
In a statement to the press, Mohamed Ouragh, head of the regional center for documentation, animation and educational production at the regional academy for education and training in the Fez-Meknes region, stated that the regional qualifiers for the Tifinagh Olympics are part of the major activities organized by the academy in cooperation with its partners, to which the 22.26 roadmap has given great importance.
Ouragh added that this competition resulted in the qualification of three students to participate in the national Olympiad that will be held in the city of Tiznit in the Souss-Massa region, stressing that the competition’s judging committee included inspectors and teachers who are competent in the Amazigh language.
The organization of this event comes within the framework of activating the partnership and cooperation agreement between the Regional Academy of Education and Training in the Souss-Massa region, the Royal Institute of Amazigh Culture and the “Vetsifal Tifawin” Association, in support of teaching the Amazigh language and activating the official character of the Amazigh language and culture, especially after the great success of the previous sessions.
Data from the Regional Academy of Fez-Meknes indicated that more than 180 institutions in the region teach the Amazigh language, while the number of teachers training the language reaches 680 teachers, both male and female, supervised by three inspectors in the region.
It is noteworthy that the “Tifawin Festival” Association will host the national competition on August 15, 16 and 17 in the municipality of Tafraout, Tiznit province, in parallel with the 16th session of the Tifawin Festival.
