The continent of Pangea
The world was one continent called Pangea, which means (all), which is a giant continent that existed 360 million years ago, before it separated; To produce the continents known today.
Pangea began to break up approximately 210 million years ago, and this continent is sometimes called in the Arabic language “the mother continent” or “the super-continent.” Because it is the origin of all continents, and the geology and shapes of the continents indicate that they were once connected together.
Ancient Observations With the exception of sudden events such as earthquakes, volcanoes, and landslides, most of the Earth's surface features do not show relative change during a person's lifetime. However, the Earth has undergone many changes throughout its long history documented in geological time.
The first to propose the idea of changing the main features of the Earth were cartographers. At the end of the fifteenth century, the Dutch cartographer Abraham Ortelius noticed a correspondence between the edges of the continents on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. He suggested that the North and South American continents had separated from the continents of Europe and Africa due to earthquakes and floods. Many scientists noticed a correspondence between the continental edges. The picture of the continents before and after separation shows this.
