In a frantic race to discover any trace of extraterrestrial life and the solar system, whether to learn about other creatures or provide a new opportunity for humans to move to another place in the event of the collapse of the Earth, NASA recently announced its discovery of a giant planet that has a mass 4 times the mass of the planet and takes only 10.8 days to complete an entire year in it.
According to the ndtv website, NASA confirmed the discovery of a huge planet outside the solar system and named it Ross 508 b, which is located 37 light-years from Earth orbiting a red dwarf star as the Earth revolves around the sun, and that it is located in the region of Habitable relative to its position from the star that revolves around it.
This giant planet was discovered with a new technology based on infrared radiation, which is more effective in discovering gaseous planets, which may not contain rocks, but consist mostly of water, methane, and ammonia gases with ice and rock. They are similar to Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus in our solar system.
This giant planet was discovered for the first time by Japanese astronomers earlier this year, specifically last May, and their research showed that the giant planet is located at an appropriate distance from the star Ross 508, which may allow the formation of water and thus the planet may be habitable.

The researchers spotted the planet within the orbit of a red dwarf star, which is a type of cold star that is at the beginning of its evolution and has not reached the very glowing shape like the sun. The mass of this star is 18% of the mass of the sun, making it the smallest and weakest star known around the world so far.
The Subaru Telescope of the Japanese National Astronomical Observatory observed this giant planet for the first time and indicated that it orbits its star every 10.8 days due to the small size of the star, so it is very faint, but on the other hand, this giant planet is exposed to more cosmic rays by 1 . 4 of those that the Earth is exposed to, so the percentage of infrared radiation emitted from it increases, which reaches faster to the planets orbiting it.
