RENEWED DEMAND TO APPROVE THE AMAZIGH NEW YEAR HOLIDAY IN MOROCCO
Every year, Amazigh civil and political activities and activists renew their demand for the recog
nition of the Amazigh year as a national holiday and an official holiday, similar to the Gregorian calendar year in Morocco.
In this regard, the Popular Movement Party renewed its demand and aspiration to establish the Amazigh year as a national holiday and an official holiday, which will take place in a few days.
The party called on the government to formulate a national linguistic and cultural policy that translates the provisions of the constitution into the field of national identity in its diverse unity as a fundamental pillar of the new development model.
Al-Sunbula stressed the need for public policy to practically embody the values of Tamghrib, with its Amazigh depth, its Islamic and Arab dimensions, and its Hassanian, Hebrew, African and Mediterranean tributaries. The occasion of the World Cup was another opportunity to translate and market them on various continents and through various channels.
