Brussels.. Organizing an artistic evening to celebrate the Amazigh New Year 2973
Yesterday evening, Friday, a joyful artistic evening was held in Brussels on the occasion of the celebration of the Amazigh New Year 2973, which included a variety of lyrical performances that embody the richness and diversity of the authentic Moroccan cultural heritage.
This ceremony, organized by the “Marbel” association, was an occasion to embody the attachment of the Moroccan community residing in Belgium to their motherland and to highlight the diversity of the Moroccan identity, with its strong components and its many tributaries.
The performance of the artistic segments of this evening, which was known in particular, was attended by the Ambassador of Morocco to Belgium and the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg, Mohamed Amer, along with a number of Moroccan and Belgian personalities, a number of musical groups, namely the folkloric group “Ahwash Tafrogt” from southern Morocco, and the group “ Tarwa N'Sheikh Mohand" from the countryside region, and the "Sultanat Banat Al-Shaabi" group.
On this occasion, Mohamed Amer said in his speech that the celebration of the Amazigh New Year comes this year in an exceptional context characterized by the qualitative measures taken by the government in the field of activating the official character of the Amazigh language, aimed at the actual implementation of the measures aimed at the effective integration of this language and national culture in various Aspects of life, especially in the education system, administration, justice and health.
Amer explained that Morocco is moving to the maximum speed in the series of advancing Amazigh culture and giving it the status it deserves at various levels, highlighting the mobilization of all of Morocco, political parties, civil society organizations and cultural associations, in order to celebrate this anniversary, on the horizon of making the Amazigh New Year an official holiday. It is celebrated by all Moroccans.
For her part, Françoise Schepmans, supervisor of cultural affairs in the municipality of Molenbeek, said that the celebration of the Amazigh year is an opportunity to learn about the rich heritage that Morocco abounds in in the fields of music, traditional dress and gastronomy, which stimulates openness and promotes the values of coexistence.
In this regard, Chipmans highlighted the great cultural diversity of the municipality of Molenbeek, which is a crucible of cross-fertilization and cultural mixing, highlighting the strong contribution of the Moroccan community to enriching the cultural scene in this Belgian municipality.
For his part, the head of the “Marbel” Association, Mohamed Hamouti, highlighted in a similar speech the strong cultural load of this occasion, which witnessed the participation of authentic Moroccan folklore groups, pointing to the need to preserve this Amazigh cultural heritage and pass it on to future generations.
During this artistic evening, a group of immigrant parents of the first generation were honored for their contribution to the success of their children in their academic and professional path and for facilitating their integration in the country of emigration.
On this occasion, a group of traditional Amazigh dishes from the north and south of the Kingdom were presented, which reflect the richness and diversity of Moroccan cooking.
