The Amgharians of Khenifra celebrate the Amazigh New Year with an artistic party and dinner linked to customs
In accordance with its custom, since its founding in 2002, the “Amghar Association for Culture and Development”, in Khenifra, did not miss its annual date to celebrate the arrival of the Amazigh New Year “Eid Nair”, by organizing, on Saturday evening, January 14, 2023, a cultural artistic ceremony, hosted by the Abu Dhabi Cultural Center. Al-Qasim Al-Zayani, and recorded a remarkable presence from various spectrums, social strata, and civil events, and the researcher Muhammad Zarwal and the journalist Mustafa Boukarim advanced to conduct his paragraphs.
And in the hall that welcomed its guests with the artist Saida Thathrit on a large screen, the concert opened with a paragraph from the art of Ahidous for the “Ithri” group, which received great interaction from the audience, while the child Yahya was able to steal the lights of the ceremony in his Amazigh dress and his artistic movements, through his participation as the group’s maestro leading the band. , While the researcher Mohamed Zarwal did not fail to present it to the audience as the successor to the ancestors out of clinging to the Amazigh cultural heritage over the generations.
After that, everyone lived with instrumentals and lyrical clips by the artist Al-Kamnja Al-Mukhtar Haki, accompanied by his group and the artist Naima Kouda, who ignited the hall with her strong mountainous voice, without missing the researcher Mohamed Zeroual once again presenting the congratulations of the Amghar Association to everyone on the occasion of the Amazigh year 2973 and its wishes for humanity in a world of peace and goodness And tolerance, as well as highlighting the extent to which the Amazighs are connected to their land and their celebration of their identity that extends through land and nature.
The program also included the presence of the young artist, Muhammad Ashour, who gave the hall, with his stringed instrument, a great outpouring of response, and perhaps he reminded everyone of the “orphan string” left by the late Muhammad Rouisha, before enriching the ceremony with clips from the art of “Tamawait” by the artist Abdel Karim Akugil, who is One of the Amazigh arts, distinguished by the strong word and voice, to conclude the ceremony with Amazigh poetry compilations (Amdiaz) with the youth group “Ait Othman” and the band of Muhammad Mujahid.
And in connection with the rituals and customs of the Amazighs, and as an embodiment of the connection to the land and the celebration of identity, the “Amghar Association for Culture and Development” did not miss, the next day, Sunday, an invitation to a dinner party expressing joy for the New Year, which was opened by the civil actor Allal Al-Hajj with a welcoming speech, in which couscous dishes (hakoza) were prepared. With “Seven Vegetables and Eggs”, with the luckiest being the one who finds a date in the heart of the dish, and everyone lived on the strings of the artist Ashour and the guests’ Ahidosiyat.
