Scientists were baffled by a giant asteroid approaching Earth on Sunday night
The International Network of Optical Telescopes of the “Keldysh” Institute of Applied Mathematics of the Russian Academy of Sciences is monitoring a giant asteroid, which is expected to approach Earth on the night of March 26, as announced by the Institute of Applied Mathematics on the Telegram application.
The institute indicated that the asteroid “DZ2” will approach Earth on the night of March 25-26, at a distance of 175,000 km.
According to the institute's data, it will be possible to see the asteroid for a short period of time, even using amateur telescopes.
