?Algerian pressures on Libya regarding the Amazigh question 11869
According to certain Amazigh militant circles in Libya, the Ambassador of the Algerian Republic to Libya sent a message three days ago to the Libyan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Naglaa Al-Mangoush, asking her to put an end to the work of the Supreme Council of the Amazighs of Libya.
Contacted by ADN-Med , Ahmed Dougha, known activist of the Libyan Amazigh cause confirmed the information. The latter recalls that the said Council has never interfered in the internal affairs of Algeria or any other country since its work is limited to the political and legal affairs of the Amazighs of Libya alone.
?Algerian pressures on Libya regarding the Amazigh question 1-299
We reproduce the declaration by which he condemns the intervention of the Algerian diplomat: " The Ambassador of the Algerian Republic to Libya sent a letter to the Libyan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Naglaa Al-Mangoush, asking her to stop the works of the Supreme Council of the Amazighs of Libya, although the latter never interfered in the internal affairs of Algeria or any other country. His work concerns only the political and legal affairs of the Amazighs of Libya alone. We strongly condemn this interference and we ask all officials of the Algerian State to respect their neighbors and not to interfere in their affairs. »
No Algerian institution having officially reported on the initiative of the Algerian ambassador in Tripoli, it is not, for the time being, possible to say whether this intervention is a personal initiative of the diplomat or whether it responds to a request of the Algerian authorities.

As a reminder, the president of the Libou party, Fethi Khalifa, of which Ahmed Dougha is a member, contributed with Moroccan, Algerian and Tunisian actors to the file drawn up by ADN-Med on the occasion of the commemoration of the 43rd anniversary of the Amazigh Spring (see dna-med of 04/23/2023) . In his speech, President Fethi Khalifa recalled the impact of April 20, 1980 on the awakening of Amazigh consciousness in Libya and offered his solidarity to Amazigh militants who were victims of the arbitrariness of the Algerian regime.
