Forum on the history and heritage of Ait Ourir
The Regional Directorate of Culture of the Marrakech-Safi Region, the Regional Preservation of Cultural Heritage, the Ministry of Youth and Culture, the Culture Sector, the Ait Ourir Community, and the Toubkal Agency for Research and Social Studies, are organizing a forum on the history and heritage of Ait Ourir, on the occasion of Heritage Month 2023 at the Ait Ourir Cultural Center on May 12, starting from Four thirty in the afternoon.
The program includes introductory speeches about the organizing bodies, the speech of the regional director of the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication - the culture sector in the Marrakech-Safi region, the speech of the president of the Ait Ourir group, and the speech of the president of the Toubkal Academy for Research and Social Studies.
The lectures will start at 5:30 and will extend to 7:30 in the evening. The session will be chaired by Dr. Amrig Abdel-Meguid. The intervention will be about Tabonima and the history of Ait Ourir, presented by Professor Rashid Shahmi, and a lecture on the history of the Jewish race in Ait Ourir by Professor Ibrahim Akkaya, and finally a lecture on Customs and Traditions of Ait Ourir, presented by Mr. Abderrahim Majchouch.
