Yesterday evening, Thursday, May 18th, in Taroudant, the activities of the first session of the “Theater Spring” festival were opened, which aims to contribute to the cultural, artistic and theatrical revitalization of the city of Taroudant.
This theatrical event, organized at the initiative of the “Theatre of the Horizon” association, in partnership with the National Initiative for Human Development, and with the support of the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication - the Culture Sector -, the Council of the Souss-Massa Region, and the Collective Council of Taroudant, aims to empower young people with the techniques and tools of theatrical work.

The activities of the festival, which will continue until May 23, were inaugurated under the slogan: “Visibility, Formation, Continuity”, with the organization of a festive carnival, with the participation of a group of local heritage groups and a number of male and female artists participating in the festival.
By the way, the director of the Spring Theater Festival, Mohamed Hamza, said in a statement to the media that this cultural and theatrical event aims to contribute to the cultural, artistic and theatrical revitalization in Taroudant, noting that the festival came up with new ideas by organizing seminars and workshops and presenting various theatrical performances.
The opening ceremony was marked by the honoring of the two artists, Mohamed El Jem and Abdullah Deedan, in recognition of their artistic path and their participation in the advancement of culture and art in Morocco.

The program of this course includes the organization of “master class” paragraphs, and open artistic meetings with the honorees of the course, in addition to training workshops on movement on stage, the basics of theatrical diagnosis, a workshop on dramatic writing techniques, in addition to workshops for children.
