Tiznit.. The opening of the activities of the second session of the "Amreer" Forum for Amazigh Poetry
On Friday, May 26, Tiznit, the activities of the second session of the “Amrir” Forum for Amazigh Poetry opened, at the initiative of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Communication (Culture Sector).
This event, which falls within the context of the celebration of the Heritage Month, sought to introduce the Amazigh culture and value it for being an essential tributary of the national identity, as well as to contribute to the cultural and artistic radiation of the capital of silver, and to provide an opportunity for a meeting between Moroccan creators in the field of poetic creativity in the Amazigh language.
In this regard, the Regional Director of the Culture Sector in Tiznit, Mahmoud Zammati, said in a statement to the media that the organization of the forum is characterized by the fact that it is an embodiment of the generous care that His Majesty King Mohammed VI has been giving to the Amazigh language as a major component of the authentic Moroccan identity, rich in its multiplicity of tributaries, and a common asset for all. Moroccans without exception, pointing out that the adoption of the Amazigh New Year as an official paid holiday reflects the status of the Amazighs in royal concerns.
The opening ceremony, which was attended in particular by the governor of the province of Tiznit, Hassan Khalil, accompanied by the president of the regional council of Tiznit, and civil and military figures, was distinguished by the honoring of one of the pioneers of Amazigh poetry in the person of the poet Omar Amirer, and the organization of a poetry evening with the participation of Amazigh poets who came from various regions of the Kingdom, and with whom he interacted. The audience present in the performance hall of the House of Culture.
The program of this forum included training courses on the topic of the Amazigh educational chant for the benefit of educational activists, and a scientific symposium on “The Specifics of Amazigh Poetry in Morocco”, in addition to a signing ceremony for a poetry collection entitled “Asmaqil Aminu” by the poet Hashim Hamdi Sifaw, and the signing of the book “The Value of Trust in Moroccans” by Dr. Omar Amirer, in addition to musical and singing performances.
The activities programmed at the forum, which was held for two days at the Mohammed Khair El-Din Cultural Center, culminated in a poetry evening and the coronation of the winners of the “Amreer” competition for Amazigh poetry.
