The first Chinese-made giant cruise ship enters the flotation experiment
China's first high-tech cruise ship
Adora Magic City, the giant cruise ship, is the first cruise ship of its kind in China, capable of accommodating 5,246 passengers. It includes 2,125 guest rooms and a 16-storey structure, including entertainment areas such as performance centers, bars, cafes, shopping plazas and water parks.
China's first home-made large-scale cruise ship, "Adora Magic City," started the process of floating early Thursday morning.
The Vista-class cruise ship, with a length of 323.6 meters and a width of 37.2 meters, will start its maiden voyage from Shanghai, as its home port. It is capable of accommodating 5,246 passengers. It will have 2,125 guest rooms and a 16-storey structure, including entertainment areas such as performance centers, bars and cafes, shopping plazas and water parks.
The ship's processing began in 2019, and innovative equipment and technologies were used to control weight, vibration, and reduce noise. Cruise ships are high-tech, high-value-added shipping products that China has not yet produced.
So the "Adora Magic City" ship is seen as an important step, showing China's domestic capabilities and self-reliance in science and technology.
