Al-Dashira: Belmaun Bodmaun Carnival attracts thousands of crowds
In its seventh session, the Bellemont-Beaudemonte Carnival was able to attract thousands of crowds who lined up, since four o'clock in the afternoon, on the sides of Mohammed V Avenue, for a length of more than four kilometers, in front of the headquarters of the Collegiate Council of Lanzgane, in front of the headquarters of the Jihadist municipality of Dashira.
This annual organized event, yesterday evening, Sunday, July 09, 2023, in the city of Dachira and Inezgane, by the Regional Association of the Belmaun Carnival Festival in Boudimaoun, in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, the Culture Sector, and the Dachira Jihadi Territorial Group, and in coordination with civil society associations affiliated with the region, under the slogan “Local specificities are the most important pillars of success of cultural projects.” More than 30 local, regional and national associations concerned with this cultural heritage, as he knew Also, the participation of more than 700 participants who roamed Mohammed V Avenue from Inezgane towards the jihadist city of Dachira. These young people, with simple capabilities, were able to create beautiful artistic masterpieces in this year's carnival, where all the show paragraphs received wide media and public follow-up.
The artist Rachid Boalemzghi, known in the art scene as Rachid Aslal, said about the organizing committee that the aim of organizing this carnival or “Deville” is to preserve Belmaun’s heritage and introduce it as an authentic Persian cultural heritage. Said Adel of the organizing committee of the carnival added in a statement to the media that the creativity of the youth inflamed the enthusiasm of the masses who made pilgrimages from all parts of Souss el-Kebir and neighboring cities.
The Boujloud Carnival, which is organized every year in the prefecture of Inezgane, has been talked about a lot inside and outside the country, as it is the largest carnival organized recently in Morocco, where thousands of citizens and tourists follow it through the streets of the city.
The name “Bugloud” is given to everyone who wears goat skins after washing them and measuring them with the bodies, and thus wearing them during Eid al-Adha and in the carnival. Young people prefer to wear goat skins because they are lighter than sheep’s skins. Other young people assume many characters and are often funny, either by quoting the dress of the authorities or certain professions.
A number of citizens, who followed this year's carnival, praised, within identical statements to the newspaper, the tight and historical organization by the various security services, including the auxiliary forces, the men of the authority, national security, and civil protection. They thanked everyone who contributed, from far or near, to the success of this year's session.
