Amazigh cinema and other media: a new collective release that enriches the Amazigh treasury
A new collective book was recently published to enrich the Amazigh treasury, in its cinematic aspect, bearing the title Amazigh Cinema and Other Media, under the supervision of: Daniela Merola and Ammar Ameziane.
This work includes articles that “belong to the era of serious research.” These articles approach delicate issues inspired by the young Amazigh cinematic experience, including an article by Professor Mustafa Al-Adeg, which addresses the topic of memory and orality; The Amazigh film facing the test of reception: Khamis 84 by Mohamed Bouzgou is an example. A group of articles also addressed the location of Amazigh popular culture and its presence in Amazigh cinema.
These articles are an objective treatment of modern Amazigh cinema, which remains in constant need of critical and scientific treatment, and enable the professors to develop a model for this type of writing.
