On the occasion of International Women’s Day, which falls on March 8 of each year, and in honor of Dr. Samira Makrim (a research professor specializing in Amazigh at the University of Sidi Muhammad Ben Abdullah in Fez), the Division of Amazigh Language and Literature, in coordination with the Research Laboratory in Language, Literature, Imagination and Aesthetics, organizes a national symposium on Topic: “ Women’s creativity in Amazigh culture...authenticity and distinction ,” on Friday, March 8, 2024, starting at nine in the morning in the lecture hall of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, SAIS-FAS.
The symposium program includes an opening session and two scientific sessions. At the opening, opening speeches will be presented by the Dean of the College, the Director of the Research Laboratory in Language, Literature, Imagination, and Aesthetics, the Head of the Amazigh Language Division, and the organizing committee, along with an overview of the scientific and academic biography of the celebrant.

The two scientific sessions will be moderated by the two research professors, Dr. Abdel Moneim Al-Azouzi and Dr. Larbi Mamoush, where an elite group of researchers in language, culture, and Amazigh will present scientific interventions related to women’s creativity in Amazigh culture, such as: women’s contribution to the development of Amazigh linguistics, the role of Amazigh women in preserving the semiological heritage, Amazigh women in Moroccan cinema, the aesthetics of the poetic style in Poetry of the artist Sharifa, linguistic practices of Amazigh women, Amazigh women novelists between cultural presence and identity recognition, women’s oral poetry in the Ait Atta region, the women’s theme in the Amazigh oral story, Amazigh women’s dance, Amazigh poetry in the Middle Atlas, symbolism in women’s creativity written in Amazigh, the title in The female novelist, the gender approach in the Amazigh language textbook, the role of women in the Amazigh story, representations of women in Amazigh women.
