Amulet to ward off the evil eye - KTU 1.96 2--33
An audio recording of the text in Ugaritic is available
This inscription is almost one of the most prominent texts of spells and magic texts found in Ugarit, as it was dedicated to addressing the issue of the “eye” and envy that arise in Eastern cultures and their sacred texts. The goal of the text is to “return” the envious eye to its owner, who may be a brother and relative who knows the conditions of the envied, or another personality such as the guard who oversees the house or livelihood, the excise and tax collector who looks at the person’s wealth, and the pottery maker who was entrusted with the task of making utensils. Suitable for transporting commercial materials, such as olive oil, for which the Kingdom is famous.

Amulet to ward off the evil eye - KTU 1.96 2---43
Translation
An eye that went and changed
You see his brother [living] in bliss
[And that] his brother is handsome
You cut his flesh without a sword
And you drink his blood without a cup
Let the eye of the evil one be turned
Let the evil eye be transformed
The eye of the excise collector
The eye of the potter
Eye of the guard
The guard's eye bounces back to the guard
The eye of the potter returns to the potter
The excise collector's eye returns to the excise collector
The eye of the evil one turns back to the evil one
The evil eye turns back to evil
