French University of Brittany: Discover the oldest traces of human feet 13-190
An international research team from the French University of Brittany, in partnership with Moroccan, German and Spanish universities, discovered the oldest human footprints of Homo sapiens in North Africa.
The artifact, dating back about 100,000 years, was discovered on the coast of the city of Larache, off the Atlantic Ocean, 90 kilometers south of Tangier.
The research shows that 5 individuals, including children, teenagers and adults, left between 80 and 85 footprints facing the sea while searching for food.

Research on this discovery took about a year and a half.
