Madur in Algeria.. the oldest university in the world
The University of Algiers topped the list of the oldest universities in the world, according to a classification published by the University of Oxford in one of its illustrative maps of the oldest universities.
Madur University was founded in Algeria in 534 AD
Dr. Idris Attia published a post on his Facebook page, which included a number of the oldest universities in the world, which he said was a map of the University of Oxford.
The author of the Facebook post commented: “The first and oldest university in the history of humanity is Algerian.”
