The most important women of Mesopotamia
Three women from Mesopotamia had the greatest influence on Mesopotamian society and the world.
The first is Princess Enheduanna, who is considered the first poet in history and the first woman to put her signature on her literary works. Archaeologists have called her the Shakespeare of Sumerian literature.
