The Moroccan Archives Foundation celebrates donors to private archives
On the occasion of the international commemoration of the International Archives Week, the Moroccan Archives Foundation organized at its headquarters in Rabat on Thursday evening, June 6, a reception in honor of a group of donors who donated their archives for the benefit of the same foundation, under the slogan: Private archives, common heritage.
This concerns the family of Muhammad bin Abdullah Zniber, which gave the Foundation approximately 3,000 documents dating back to the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
And the great film director Aiza Kenini, who holds French-Moroccan citizenship, and in turn placed her private archive at the disposal of the Moroccan Archive Foundation.
Then, Mrs. Marion Stanlis, who presented the Moroccan Archive with a unique gift, consisting of a collection of photographs taken by her grandfather and grandmother in Morocco from the mid-1930s until the mid-1950s.
In his speech on this occasion, Mr. Jamaa Baida, Director of the Moroccan Archives Foundation, stressed his appreciation and appreciation for the various citizen initiatives related to placing personal archives at the disposal of the Foundation in order to preserve, value and preserve them and place them at the disposal of the public, including researchers.
