Marry me so I can teach you how to live and teach me how to die
A photo taken of Charlie Chaplin and Oona O'Neill in 1943
At the age of 53, Charlie Chaplin met the love of his life, Oona O'Neill, who was 17 years old.
Her parents rejected this marriage until she turned 18, and on her next birthday, he married her and they lived together for about 34 years, from 1943 AD until his death in 1977 AD.
When Charlie Chaplin decided to marry Oona, who was 30 years younger than him, he said to her:
Marry me so I can teach you how to live and teach me how to die.. She said to him:
- No, Charlie, I will marry you so you can teach me how to grow up and teach you how to stay young until the end.
It was a wonderful marriage and they had 8 children
They lived together until Charlie died at the age of 88
