Heritage appreciation
Researcher Stephanie Daly from the Oxford Humanities Research Center says:
I came across a strange text from the seventh century BC
It made me feel astonished, as I read that one of the kings wanted to obtain a copy of a letter written by King Hammurabi nearly a thousand years ago, because the copy he had was in very bad condition.
He was hoping to get a better copy
He sent a delegation to the city of Babylon to obtain another copy
Which means that in Babylon, even 1000 years after the life of King Hammurabi, it was still possible to obtain copies of his letters.
Oh my God, how strange!
Because it shows the appreciation of the people of Mesopotamia for heritage, and it also shows the importance of Hammurabi even in that period, 1000 years after his death.
In addition to the administrative and archival organization of Mesopotamia in preserving copies of important documents dating back thousands of years that preceded them.
Therefore, Mesopotamia is considered the cradle of civilizations.
