The Jews and Phoenicians are an extension of the Canaanites
The Hebrews and Canaanites are one people, the only difference is that the former adopted the Jewish religion and the latter remained pagan. Their language is also the same, as the Canaanite and its Phoenician and Punic descendants were deciphered and their inscriptions translated using the Hebrew language only.
That is why many scholars consider all these languages to be dialects of the ancient Canaanite language. For this reason, we see the great Israeli activity in revealing the Canaanite civilization and displaying it through excavations and publicity, because the Hebrews believe that they are the heirs of the Canaanite civilization.
This, of course, puts the supporters of the Phoenicians in North Africa in an awkward position, since they claim to fight Israel at the same time that they are trying to attribute North Africa to the Canaanite Phoenicians, of whom the Hebrews are considered their heir and the only remaining extension of them!
If we attribute the Phoenicians and their Canaanite ancestors to the Arabs, we can also attribute the Jews to the Arabs. Unfortunately, the Arab current is in a very critical position, even if the Canaanites are much older than them, but the Arabs insist on attributing stones and trees, the oldest and the most modern, to the Arabs.
