!Forgetfulness and poor sleep are symptoms of a serious illness
Dr. Boris Rudenko, a cardiovascular surgeon, points out that 30 percent of strokes are caused by a blocked carotid artery.
According to him, many do not pay any attention to symptoms such as forgetfulness, lack of sleep, and mild dizziness, even though they may indicate problems in the carotid artery.
He says: "When atherosclerotic plaques gradually grow and completely block the carotid artery, the process of forming a bypass blood circulation takes place and the brain cells adapt to the new conditions. This can be observed in a slight weakness in memory and a decrease in reaction time and performance."
According to him, this issue can be addressed by placing a stent in the blocked carotid artery to restore normal blood flow.
