..Roman baths 1--1635
Roman baths were an engineering marvel. The water was heated by a fire burning under the pool, and the hot air was circulated between the walls of the bath so that the temperature of the water and the temperature of the building remained constant. The water used in Roman baths was generally transferred from the water source to the bath with the help of canals.
The dirty water coming out of the bathrooms had a function, which was to clean the dirty channels in the toilets next to the bathrooms.

For the Romans, these baths were an important part of daily life. They would go every day and stay for a few hours. Wealthy Romans would come with their slaves, and the slaves who were brought would usually take on the task of carrying towels and drinks.
Before bathing in Roman baths, exercises were done such as running, lifting weights, and wrestling. After the exercises, the servants would put oil on the bodies of their masters and then scrape the oil with the help of a board. In this way, the dirt would be removed.

In the Roman bath, the body was cleaned with a device called a strigilis. Using this device, the sweat, sand, and dust adhering to the body were removed, and then the body was lubricated in an area called the alipterion.
