Family statue
Family statue 1----41
The ancient Egyptian used to be proud of his family and thus carved family statues showing the head of the family accompanied by his wife and children.
This tradition continued throughout the Egyptian era as an expression of the desire for the friendship between members of the same family to continue in the other world as it was in this world.
Because the ancient Egyptian believed that he would live in the afterlife an eternal life similar to his first life, he was keen to accompany everyone
What he loves, and of course those who love his family wish that the afterlife would bring them together
Without separation and forever 💞
However, this ancient tradition was subjected to a unique renewal in the era of Akhenaten, the era of the great religious and artistic revolution, so we find here in this beautiful statue. The artist sculpted a unique group statue showing three individuals, most often the grandfather, son, and grandson, with their hands embraced and showing love 😲
Some say that this statue, carved from limestone, is of a single person in three different age stages, from childhood to youth to adulthood, as if the sculptor’s eye is like the eye of a photographer who seeks to capture every detail of life.
And write it down so that it will be immortalized over time 🇪🇬
