Balmoral Castle.. a place that Queen Elizabeth loved and left
Balmoral Castle was one of the places where the late British Queen Elizabeth II preferred to stay, especially in the last period of her life.
The Queen loved the sprawling Balmoral Castle, which covers an area of 50,000 acres, and described it as a " paradise of the heights ", because it is located in a high area.
The castle is located in the county of Aberdeen, eastern Scotland , overlooking the North Sea and the coastal and mountainous areas.
The ruling family continued to add buildings and land to the castle, and by 2022, the number of buildings inside it had increased to about 150.
The castle has been the Scottish holiday home of the royal family since Prince Albert bought it for Queen Victoria in 1852, and has been passed down through the generations.
Queen Elizabeth II's tradition was to spend part of the summer at the castle, and this year was no different, but with her health deteriorating, the 96-year-old British monarch ended up taking her last breath in her most beloved place.
Balmoral technically dates back to the 15th century, but numerous additions and renovations over the years have transformed the house into a far cry from the original version.
