International Mother Language Day and African Language Week in Algeria
The High Prefecture of Amazigh in Algeria is organizing the double celebration of the International Mother Language Day and the African Week of Languages, on February 21 and 22, in the wilaya of Tlemcen.
The program of events, according to Algerian media sources, includes presentations at the Center for Andalusian Studies “Al-Hamra Palace” and the lecture hall in the Beni Souss district, in addition to programs in some educational institutions, including the inauguration of the airport interface, written in the two national languages.
Organizing exhibitions for the activities of cultural and scientific associations and various arts, and a scientific forum under the title “Amazigh in light of the nation’s foundations, identity security, territorial integrity and national unity,” in addition to signing a partnership agreement between the High Prefecture of Amazigh and “Abu Bakr Belkaid” University.
