Tafraout.. The curtain falls on the activities of the “Tafsout” festival, and “Ifili” wins the grand prize
Yesterday evening, Saturday, July 08, 2023, in the city of Tafraout, the curtain fell on the activities of the fifth session of the “Tafasout Festival for Amazigh-Maghreb Cinema”, organized by the “Anarouz Association for Development and Cultural Communication”, during the period between 05 and 09 of this month.
The closing day witnessed the honoring of film director Mohamed Bouzko from the countryside, actor Mohamed El Yazidi from Souss and actor Nasser El Madghry from Atlas, in addition to presenting musical performances by the “Karim Anarouz” group.
At the conclusion of the festival’s fifth session, the jury of this session, which includes film critic Amina Al-Sibari, actress and director Majida Benkirane, in addition to film director Rachid Al-Hazmir, announced the winners of the festival’s awards, which are the Grand Prize, Best Screenplay Award, Award for best female role and award for best male role.
The award for the best screenplay went to the scriptwriter Abdel Nabi Al-Dahayem for “Fires of the Mouth” directed by Al-Hussein Al-Shukiri, and the award for the best female role was returned to the artist, Sana Bahaj, for the movie “Methaq”, while the actor Saeed Zarif won the best male role for the same movie.
The film “Eveli/The Thread” by Ali Charaf won the Grand Prix of the fifth edition of the Tafsout Festival of Amazigh-Maghreb Cinema.
