Taroudant..the launch of the activities of the annual “Tamsrit” season
Yesterday, Monday, March 25, in Bab El Khamees Square in Taroudant, the activities of the annual “Tamisrit” season, which is organized during the middle half of the holy month of Ramadan, began.
This event, organized by the Taroudant community, in partnership with the Regional Chamber of Traditional Crafts of Souss-Massa, and the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication (Culture Sector), seeks to contribute to creating economic and tourism dynamism, which makes the city an essential lever for development.
Organizing this season constitutes a vital contribution to promoting local, regional and national traditional industries and crafts, creating income-generating activities, and reviving domestic tourism.
By the way, the Second Vice President of the Regional Chamber of Traditional Crafts of Souss-Massa, Samir Al-Shahab, said that organizing this annual season constitutes an opportunity to introduce the various innovations of the traditional crafts sector, and to highlight the important role played by traditional craftsmen in order to preserve the authentic Moroccan heritage.
Al-Shahab added that this religious, social and economic season is marked this year by the presence of a group of exhibitors, especially the creators of the ceramic vessels that characterize the season, whose number exceeds 170 exhibitors from Marrakesh, Tetouan, Ouarzazate, Meknes, and Safi.
For their part, a number of manufacturers expressed their happiness with their participation in the activities of this annual season, which characterizes the city of Taroudant, stressing that organizing this forum, which combines cultural, tourism and economic, gives them the opportunity to move the locomotive of local economic growth.
According to the organizers, this religious and cultural event has become an essential role in the commercial boom, as it is of great importance to the residents of the city and the suburbs, as it is an annual event in which the latest creations of pottery makers coming from various regions of the Kingdom are displayed.
