Five countries do not have an airport within their borders
Among the independent countries of the world, only five do not have an airport within their borders, although all of them have at least one heliport. All of these countries are located in Europe, and they are all landlocked countries that do not overlook an ocean, except Monaco
1 - Andorra
Andorra does not have an airport, but it has three private helipads, one of which is a hospital helipad. In terms of population and land area, it is the largest country without an airport. The Vatican does not have an airport, but it does have a helipad in the western corner of Vatican City, which is used by chief visitors and Vatican officials.
