In continuation of its contribution to strengthening ties with Moroccans living abroad, and in line with its commitment to openness to the audience of its radio and television channels, inside and outside Morocco, and to receiving and following up on their comments and suggestions, the National Radio and Television Company launched, today, Friday, August 9, 2024, in Rabat, the activities of the third session of its open doors for the benefit of the Moroccan community living abroad, under the slogan “Digital solutions.. Stronger and stronger ties with the new generations of Moroccans around the world.”
In implementation of the directives of Mr. Faisal Al-Araichi, CEO of the National Radio and Television Company, this third session was distinguished by the dedication of its program of activities to the category of young Moroccans living abroad, in consideration of the position that young people enjoy in the strategic orientations and new projects of the National Radio and Television Company, especially in the field of digital transformation and adaptation to new patterns of consumption of audiovisual content.

In this regard, the National Radio and Television Company received, during the first day of these open doors, a group of young people from the Moroccan community residing abroad, in order to introduce them to the care that the institution gives to strengthening the preservation of strong ties and human and cultural bonds with their mother country by Moroccans residing abroad, through the rich and diverse audio-visual content that is 100 % Moroccan, presented by the various services of the National Radio and Television Company.
The activities of this first day were also an opportune occasion that enabled young Moroccans living abroad to witness in the field the behind-the-scenes work of the national public media service, and its achievements related to improving the television and radio presentation directed at young people, and the interest of its contents in giving the necessary attention to programs directed at Moroccans abroad, and the broader news coverage of all issues related to the affairs of the Moroccan community living abroad.

In this regard, the young Moroccan participants from around the world stopped at the news departments of the radio and television, where they were given explanations about the “Al-Oula” channel, which is distinguished by broadcasting programs with a general and diverse reference, and those dedicated to Moroccans living abroad, in addition to examining the studios of news bulletins and magazines, and simulating the stages of production and broadcasting of news content.
Participants also learned about the production, programming and news interests of the radio, with a special stop at the international radio studio “Chin Inter”, and discovered its general programming open to foreign cultures with participation in interactive programs with young people, which are broadcast live on the air and digital media; before moving to the headquarters of the eighth channel “Tamazight” and its artistic and technical interests, where participants were introduced to the channel’s work and the role it plays in valuing Moroccan linguistic and cultural diversity.

It is worth noting that the open doors of the National Radio and Television Company are an annual tradition that coincides with the celebration of the National Day of the Moroccan Community Abroad, and through which the public media facility seeks to contribute to establishing a permanent structural relationship with Moroccans around the world, and to communicate with them continuously, and to introduce them to Morocco’s qualifications, as well as within the framework of the National Radio and Television Company’s tasks related to strengthening and reinforcing the ties between Moroccans around the world and their homeland, and its commitment to openness to the audience of its radio and television channels, and to receiving and following up on their comments and suggestions.
