After a two-year hiatus, the traditional industry of Ouarzazate is recovering
The Federation of Handicrafts of the Handicrafts of Ouarzazate is putting the final touches to the organization of the International Forum of Handicrafts in its tenth edition under the slogan "Our Names", in partnership with the Chamber of Handicrafts of the Draa-Tafilalet region and the Urban Communion of Ouarzazate, from 01 to 20 June 2022, in the 3 March Square in the city of Ouarzazate.
This session will witness the participation of many artisans and craftsmen, and a group of associations and cooperatives from various Moroccan cities, including those affiliated with the Federation of Craftsmen for Handicrafts in Ouarzazate, as well as some foreign countries, as well as the participation of support institutions, where it is expected that more than 150 participants will participate in the exhibition.
The forum will witness the organization of lectures and meetings on topics centered on the development of traditional industry and the promotion of foreign exchanges, in which experts and specialists in the field will study, within 20 days, the means and means of developing this vital and strategic sector through trainings in the field of strengthening capabilities in marketing and sales management, and a space will be created. In place to enable traditional craftsmen to register in the National Register of Handicrafts to benefit from health coverage.
The forum aims to provide an opportunity for meeting and friction between traditional industry professionals, as well as to establish a framework for exchanging experiences between Moroccan and foreign traditional craftsmen, and to motivate them to make more efforts to raise the Moroccan product to the level of competitiveness at the international level and encourage competition among the participants in this annual economic event that will contribute In introducing the traditions and cultures of the religious participants, they display traditional products on this international date, as well as creating a cultural entertainment space for the region's residents and Moroccan and foreign tourists.
The forum's program will also include organizing several cultural, social and training activities, competitions and field visits, in addition to the presence of artists and folkloric and folk groups to revive artistic evenings parallel to the forum.
